What is SessionLinkPRO | Recording?

SessionLinkPRO | Recording is a browser based professional far end audio recording solution that works through broadband internet connections. With a Chromium based browser like Chromium, Google Chrome, Opera or Microsoft Edge (new generation) there usually is no need to install additional software. Mono connections with PCM L16 or up to 256 kbit/s OPUS encoding and stereo connections with up to 510 kbit/s OPUS encoding offer low-latency bi-directional audio transmissions in studio quality – at a fraction of the costs of ISDN transmissions. Dual mono allows to connect with two guests simultaneously, including full channel separation. An additional MIDI-channel makes it easy to sync the remote DAW. How does it work?

Straight forward webRTC technology and the high quality OPUS codec or uncompressed PCM L16 ensure low latency and full band audio encoding. Automatic NAT traversal guarantees a working connection in almost any given network.

The user interface is clean and intuitive. Everything is set up by the host. The guests receive an invitation via email – the guest link or “session link”. Open it in the browser and… That’s it!

And now there’s video!

SessionLinkPRO | Video is a free add-on featuring bi-directional video transmission.

It runs in it’s own browser tab or on a second computer. With a capture device (e.g. a Blackmagic Intensity or similar) you can easily stream your production video to the remote computer. Useful for voicing in sync with a video or even for ADR sessions. Of course, you can also use it with a webcam…

Use it in normal mode, full screen mode or detach the video window to scale and position it as you like.
